Amazon Kindle DX Graphite Video Review

A video review of the Amazon Kindle DX Graphite ebook reader. This is Amazon’s newest 9.7″ ereader and it features new screen technology that increases contrast by 50%. The Kindle DX Graphite has free 3G that you can use to download books and surf web sites, built-in storage for up to 3500 books and text-to-speech. The Kindle works with Amazon ebooks and PDF files but it does not work with ePub ebooks.

    @alrhazes so what does one do in that case if they arent reading the common stuff and are reading books in the arabic language from other countries and cant get ebooks of? them maybe the stuff you read is in the kindle store the stuff i read isnt and its a problem most of my muslim friends at the mosque complain about most of the islamic books we want are not in the nook kindle or apples ibook store as far as i can tell the kindle and nook store only have english books

    so the kindle is fine if you read ny times best sellers fiction and stuff but none ofthe books i read or own are in the kindle store i buy books from here i buy books at fadakbooks,com and dont see any books they carry in any ebook store

    @alrhazes the kindle is good provided the books u read are on it i like to read a lot of islamic books from overseas from pakistan egypt and etc etc a lot of them are not in ebook format

    I love buying books and having a library, that is why I will never buy one of these.

    They made a great device for reading pdf’s but then did not install an SDcard/external memory slot. This is beyond my comprehension…

    @ACG6306001 It’s disappointing that your DX stopped working, and sad to hear that the Amazon Customer Service wasn’t very nice, did you have the extended warranty? it looks like they are only warrantied for a year unless you purchase an extended warranty. That’s no excuse for unfriendly customer service, but it does explain why they wouldn’t replace your Kindle. There probably aren’t many companies out there that will do much for you if the warranty is expired.

    I have a kindle DX for a little over a year and the screen went black. I called the Anazon customer service but to no avail. The support person was not nice and did not offer anything constructive and suggested that I buy a new one.
    I am VERY disappointed with the Kindle DX and their customer service. I strongly recommend you DONT BUY THE KINDLE

    Question: When u order a ebook on this device, do u actually get the true book cover? I have the sony ereader and sometimes u get just the title and wierd symbols in the background instead of the real book cover?
    Love this size! My sony is way too small!

    no offence, but you’re so old school. have you really read on the kindle? it might change your views. actually, the kindle is bringing back the reading culture in youngsters, which was hijacked by movies.

    i have the kindle 3 with wi-fi & i looooove it both as a college student and an ardent novel reader :)
